Benah x My Chameleon Medium TARA Bag
It was late last year when Brenda (gorgeous designer of Benah) and our buyer Giselle talked about creating a larger KODI-like bag in a limited edition leather just for MC. We wanted something luxurious but unexpected and surprising as well as the convenience of size – it had to be an everyday bag. The matte deep ocean blue/navy leather with croc print seemed perfect. It wasn’t until it arrived that we truly appreciated just how charming it is. Gunmetal hardware, a box-like structure and a sweeping ocean blue that you can see in the light. Clutch it, wrap the chain around your wrist or sling over your shoulder.

BENAH
Title/ LIMITS
Inspiration/ Exploration of ‘What is human?’ and the future – ‘When did the future switch from being a promise, to being a threat?’ – Chuck Palahniuk
Style/ Introduces patent, textured (croc print, hex) and holographic leather with new hardware finishes such as gunmetal. The colours are perfect for the coming winter (far away) from bordeaux (like red wine), deep ocean blues and silver with pistachio in the mix. We love the large zip wallets that double as a clutch and that layered coloured scarf MARLIN, …. Oh and the snoods are back..

ARNSDORF
Title/ 1979
Inspiration/ Jade explores everything about the year 1979, when she was born (and me!)
Style/ Clean blue denim, Floral print in pink and navy, metallic bronze, an amazing Kimono Cape that is reversible, two way short trench and jumpsuits.
I took some photos of my favourite looks the look book which was photographed by talented Maya Villigier (Turnedout.tv) and Styled by super styler Stevie Dance. Ann Kelly is just so beautiful in these shots – so free and genuine… Sometimes I wish I was in my 20s, in 1979 – I know just how much fun my parents had (my dad even had a stylist!).

Seeing Triple // Pistachio Kodi Bag by Benah
For 3 days during Milan Fashion week, Caroline Issa, publisher of Tank Magazine is photographed (by Tommy Ton – middle image) wearing her Benah Kodi Bag in Pistachio. It just shows that you have control of how a bag is part of your life. We sometimes thing black is best but Caroline wears this bag as if it were black, a staple – with print, ‘clashing’ colour, pants or skirt… it all works. Fashion should be about adventure….x

There is a story here – see the progression – one of constant contemplation – an awareness of ones surroundings. Benah accessories are just that, well thought-out pieces that are made with care and high-quality materials. The KODI mini shoulder bag (featured above) is the Go-To bag from here on in / the clean lines and compact shape, the brushed gold hardware and rich colour palette – completely charming. Part of the collection is now up for Pre-order here including the KODI Tan Cuff featured above & Trinity Scarf (worn as turban above) available now.

introducing LIVING | LIGHT by BENAH

We have been waiting in anticipation for our first drop of Benah scarves and bags to arrive since our first sighting of the range back in May- you could say it was love at first sight but that aside, there is something so natural and fresh about these pieces. The balance of hard and soft, the simple colour contrasts with nothing over engineered, just beautifully made. The detail – silk-screen printed scarves with hand-rolled edges, embossed leather, brushed hardware, these type of elements are what make a piece extra special. For me the designer Brenda Harvey sums it up ‘ Benah is a person, it can be a place, it can be a mood. I don’t see it as a finite, tangible thing necessarily’.
It feels like music………
Enjoy x
