NEW YORK FASHION WEEK / BODKIN FW11

This March we are heading over to Paris, once again (Oh how hard it is!) for showings and we can not wait to feel Eviana’s FW11 Bodkin collection.  Fabrication is such an important element of Bodkin and this is exactly what we love /

Maya Singer from Style.com explains / Bodkin designer Eviana Hartman showed a polished, wearable collection at her first-ever fashion week presentation this evening. Bodkin has earned plaudits for its commitment to sustainability, and when pressed, Hartman can catalog the eco pros and cons of each of her fabrics, and talk at length about her sourcing of materials and her production process. It’s to her credit, though, that you can’t read any of the green into the clothes: As a designer, Hartman has always specialized in an aesthetic that’s clean, easy-feeling, and urbane. Her Fall collection was more of the same, in a good way. /

Bodkin SS11 is arriving shortly!! see BIO here

GARY BIGENI AW11

The first drop of Gary Bigeni’s AW11 Collection has arrived and it is divine – sexier, with the shoulder and necklines more exposed….the colours,  daring and oh so wearable…./ Featured here: Chantel Shift Dress in Rough (top left), Carla Drape dress in Amber Brown (top middle), Long Stam Skirt in Black  (Bottom right), Lea Front Drape Dress in Lake (not shown here) PLUS we have put up selected pieces from drop 2 for Pre-Order / Danko Marl Grey Sweater (Bottom middle) & Walker Two Tone Jumper dress (Bottom left).

As with past collections Gary is inspired by artists use of colour – for AW11 it is Jacob Lawrence (1917-2000) an expressionist painter. The above piece is referenced to as ‘The Party’ provided by Gary as one of the key elements in his creative process.

Miss Chantel is mine! minimalist, angular and chic

T.R Ensemble

It’s about the girl / Therese Rawsthorne has created a diffusion line this season called T.R Ensemble. It strips back to the bare essentials of everyday dressing. That no-fuss, non-chalant style. Shirts, in her signature washed cotton against contrast rib sleeves, this time more fitted, in beautiful soft hues (and black) AND then the denim, in classic (wide, slim, loose), well-fitting shapes.

Our pick the Pocket Shirt in Blueberry and The Rib Sleeve Shirt in Black //
